Our History

The iconic structure, now known as the Tower Hotel, has a fascinating history which spans over six decades. Originally constructed in 1962, it was named the Seagram Tower and was the first modern observation tower built near the brink of the Niagara Falls. Now fully converted to a hotel, it remains as a prominent landmark to residents and visitors.

The tower's construction was a pioneering feat. As the tower rose, so did the excitement surrounding this new vantage point to witness the natural wonder of Niagara Falls. In 2010, the tower underwent a significant renovation and emerged with a new identity: The Tower Hotel. Visitors are treated to a unique experience in its prime location where they can marvel at waterfalls through floor-to-ceiling windows from their hotel rooms.

The Tower Hotel stands as a testament to Niagara Falls' rich history and its enduring allure as a tourist destination. Visitors can still marvel at the natural wonder from the tower creating lasting memories and capturing unforgettable photographs. From its pioneering construction to its multiple name changes and eventual revitalization, The Tower Hotel remains as a reminder of the resilience and adaptability that have shaped this iconic landmark over the decades.
